The Engineering Department is responsible for the City's infrastructure. The City's Engineer and his staff undertake all of the engineering related to the City’s water and sewer system, streets, building inspections and watershed. You will need to deal with the Engineering Department if you are building a house, subdivision, or commercial building, or if you need a wood burning appliance or sign permit. The Drafting Division is also part of the Engineering Department.

The Engineering Department works in close association with the Planning Division of the Corporate Services Department regarding development matters. Please refer to this division for information on development permits and zoning matters.  To go to the Planning Division page now, click here.
