The Finance Department aims to bring financial vision and accountability as well as efficiency and effectiveness to the programs and departments of the City of Cranbrook. It is responsible for providing advice and guidance to Council and City Management; preparing financial plans & budgets; and providing financial reporting to Staff and the public.
It is also responsible for billing for City run utilities, the City payroll, tax collection, loss control and insurance, bus passes and reporting regarding the revenues and expenses of the Recreation Complex.
The Finance Department provides purchasing and inventory control for the City through the Purchasing Department.
